Hey, hey it's my birthday!

Woohoo! Feeling pretty dang good about life right now and am celebrating my birthday (and Mother's Day) by going to CKU, so no big doings going on today. I'm wanting to do something fun, though, so how about a little RAK (random act of kindness)? I have a lovely "All About Me" album kit (the ones put out by CK...comes with the album and all the "stuff" and instructions) up for grabs! Just post here and tell me the name of a good book...we signed up for the library's summer reading program yesterday and I'm always on the lookout for good reads, both for myself and the boys. :)

I'll have one of the boys draw a name from the posts tomorrow around noon!

This awesome special issue by Jen McGuire hit newsstands recently! I don't have my copy yet but was fortunate enough to peruse one at my local scrapbook store earlier this week (I'm trying so hard to be patient and wait for my own copy to come in the mail so didn't just buy it then, though I may go back if I don't have a copy in the next few days *laugh*) and it's fabulous! And I'm so not just saying that because I have a number of projects in there. Seriously, folks, check it out. If you can't find it locally, CK sells stuff online, ya know...look HERE.

In other scrappy news, the June Those Were The Days kits are now available and so gorgeous! AND, they're now offering cool "splurge" kits to compliment the monthly kit. Loads of great stuff! I finished my design team layouts and project earlier this week and I think one of them may be up in the gallery there now. :) Will try to remember to upload them to my Two Peas gallery soon.

PS Gob Gob

I just had to add a little note to my earlier post. We've been working with Micah trying to get him to say his own name. He's got everyone else's down amazingly well...loves calling for his "No-nah", says "Asher" surprisingly clearly (better than Noah or Asher did for sure) and often times shortens it to "Ash", has mommy and daddy down pat...but can't seem to get his own name. We know he can make all the required sounds for it but every time you ask him what his own name is (or try to trick him into saying it while going through a list of people or whatever) he answers "Gob Gob." I don't know why. Can't you just see me calling to him while out at the park or in a store..."Gob Gob Sir A Lot, you come back here!" Bwaahaaaha! ;)

Sir A Lot

Raise your hand if you're familiar with Bob the Builder. Okay, you'll know what I'm talking about. For those who aren't, don't worry...it's cute all the same. ;)

So, on one of the Bob the Builder shows there's this storyline about Bob and his team fixing up a castle and learning about medieval times. The machines take on "titles" like Sir Lifts A Lot. Got it? The boys think this is cool.

The other day, completely out of the blue, Asher starts pondering what Micah's "Sir" name should be. He thought perhaps Sir Poops A Lot. Noah offered Sir Eats A Lot. Both are very apt. Other ideas were Sir Cutes A Lot, Sir Funny A Lot, and Sir With A Big Belly. Honest. I'm not making these up. In the end, they decided that they couldn't decide on just one. Indeed, they said, Micah was just A Lot. So they settled on Sir A Lot. They've been calling him that for a few days now. Micah seems very taken with his title and is determined to live up to it. Man I have cute kids. :)

In a related note, here are some pictures of Micah from our end of year picnic last weekend. He really is "A Lot", don't you think?

Also, I was realizing last night that I tend to take "a lot" more pictures of Micah these days. He's just so cute. :) Besides, the other two are often making faces as they're probably tired of me taking pictures of them all the time.  Alas, I'm not going to worry about it as I'm sure the summer will provide plenty of photo opportunities.

Yikes! It's June.

Okay, fess up. Who made it June already? I'm not quite sure how that happened. :) At the same time, of course, it feels like forever ago when we ushered in the new year. So much has been going on. Wow. Am I the only one who does a little taking stock at the end/start of each month? (Yes, I realize this is a wee bit late...trust me that I did my stock taking a few days ago, okay?) May, by the way, was magnificent. Lots of good stuff happening in our lives here and summer's definitely on its way...a little sad to say goodbye to May. But, look what June has brought already:

 

These pictures were taken yesterday (Sunday) at our homeschool group end of year picnic (with my new camera...yay!...still learning but it's gonna be goooood). It was great fun...egg relays, three legged races, autographing shirts, and even some water balloons. I'm looking forward to more outings like this!

Just before this picnic, the boys got haircuts. It's always a little sad to me when that happens. They come out looking older every darn time. I'm getting more used to the change that occurs in Noah and Asher but Micah just looked so much older this time around! We think he's officially moved from "sweet baby" to "handsome little boy" mode.

Did some more scrapping today...stuff for the Those Were The Days fabulous June kit and then had my monthly design team meeting at The Treasure Box here locally. Can't share stuff from the TWTD kit yet and don't keep the stuff from the Treasure Box, but it was fun playing with all the awesome products! On that note, can't believe CKU Anaheim is already NEXT WEEK! Yikes! So looking forward to it but feeling a little overwhelmed by the preparations I have yet to do. ;) Guess I should go make a list...
