HELLO

Hi. I'm Amanda...a happy wife and mom to three awesome guys. We've lived here in Fort Collins for more than 20 years and are proud to call it home. Before moving to CO, I worked at a city attorney's office, making use of my law and Master's degrees from Duke. After settling in Fort Collins, I homeschooled my three (now teenage and older) sons and was delighted to experience music classes, soccer, karate, swim team, archery, Science Olympiad, First Lego League, parkour, and climbing (not all at the same time!). From 2005-10, I was also a contributing editor for a national scrapbooking magazine, authoring a book and a couple of monthly columns. From 2009-10, I founded and ran the Good Grief Blog. I enjoy learning new things, spending time with my family, volunteering with The Matthews House, traveling and indoor rock climbing.

Spring program

Just quickly...last night was the boys' spring program at LEAP. It went just dandy and now we're done. ;)

Asher performed with the bells and drumming classes...playing some lovely pieces.

No, the photo's not crooked...Micah is, lol. Looking his dapper little self, Micah performed with his recorder/chimes class and also sang with his Sound of Music class. He looked so adorable up on stage! I'm biased, obviously. Don't get me wrong...the seven little girls were all very cute, too, but the tie/vest/mohawk combo just really did it for me. ;)

Noah and Asher performed with their guitar class earlier in the day (each student has been working on a solo piece), but the class didn't perform at the program on account of having missed two class days due to snow recently, such that the group pieces weren't quite ready. :)

And that was the spring program. :) I have more pictures (and some for friends) but they'll have to wait to be processed. Heading out the door just now... ;)

The tie and mohawk was very cute. I did think he should have been positioned differently for Sound of Music because he blended in to the background (black on black) so being on the end wasn't the best choice. I'm sure Ms. F didn't do that on purpose - it was just where his "note" was.

And I liked how N sat waaaaay on the other side of the room from you guys most of the night, lol! Sandis should have done that too since she & her dad were at odds last night :P
