HELLO

Hi. I'm Amanda...a happy wife and mom to three awesome guys. We've lived here in Fort Collins for more than 20 years and are proud to call it home. Before moving to CO, I worked at a city attorney's office, making use of my law and Master's degrees from Duke. After settling in Fort Collins, I homeschooled my three (now teenage and older) sons and was delighted to experience music classes, soccer, karate, swim team, archery, Science Olympiad, First Lego League, parkour, and climbing (not all at the same time!). From 2005-10, I was also a contributing editor for a national scrapbooking magazine, authoring a book and a couple of monthly columns. From 2009-10, I founded and ran the Good Grief Blog. I enjoy learning new things, spending time with my family, volunteering with The Matthews House, traveling and indoor rock climbing.

101 Expert Solutions for Scrapbooking

So, I'm pretty much just going to copy what Ali Davis said today in her post, lol. :) 101 Expert Solutions for Scrapbooking is now available for pre-order! It's a special issue bursting with ideas/solutions for common scrapbooking problems...with layouts from the 2008 Dream Team, Hall of Fame and Scrapbooker of the Year. In a nutshell, it rocks. :) Here's what it looks like:

There's an online group over at CK this week with challenges and sneak peeks and all that, so get on over and join, okay? In the meantime, here's a little sneak peek of one of my contributions:

I love this layout! It's definitely one of my favorites that I made in 2008 (though, obviously, I didn't include it in my top 12 because I wasn't supposed to share until now, lol). In particular, I love that not only was I able to get a good picture of me and all of my siblings (not common since we live in two different states) but I found a fun way to include bits and pieces of information about each of us at this moment in time. Yay!

Oh. Okay. Yes. I know I still haven't posted visuals on my two weekly albums I'm tackling this year. I'm working on it. Promise. This weekend kinda got consumed with putting the house back in order after the holidays and two weeks of houseguests, LOL! Not that it was bad or anything at all...just trying to get back in the swing of things. I'm sure you understand. :) On the plus side, I'm still totally excited about both projects and have them both started...just haven't gotten around to the photographing and posting part of things.
