HELLO

Hi. I'm Amanda...a happy wife and mom to three awesome guys. We've lived here in Fort Collins for more than 20 years and are proud to call it home. Before moving to CO, I worked at a city attorney's office, making use of my law and Master's degrees from Duke. After settling in Fort Collins, I homeschooled my three (now teenage and older) sons and was delighted to experience music classes, soccer, karate, swim team, archery, Science Olympiad, First Lego League, parkour, and climbing (not all at the same time!). From 2005-10, I was also a contributing editor for a national scrapbooking magazine, authoring a book and a couple of monthly columns. From 2009-10, I founded and ran the Good Grief Blog. I enjoy learning new things, spending time with my family, volunteering with The Matthews House, traveling and indoor rock climbing.

Leap Day.

I know I'm behind. I have my reasons. :) I'll get to that soon, really. In the meantime, here are some leap day pictures we took earlier today...

Yup. Just had to "leap" for leap day. :) It's something I started four years ago. I find it hilarious, btw, that Noah put up the biggest fuss about not wanting to take pictures but then ended up insisting that I take photo after photo of him as he tried out different poses, lol. Heck, I even joined in:

(Incidentally, leaping from the deck is *not* as easy as it looks. The landings, in particular, were abrupt, lol.) Anyhow, I'm hoping to make more leap day layouts like before and need still to ask the boys for their predictions for next leap day.

Oh, and I still contend that getting three boys to jump in unison is a darn difficult task:

(But, look at how adorable they were four years ago! Micah had some difficulties actually "leaping" last time, lol.) For the sake of adding something different this time, we even took some "froggie" pictures:

Here are my little froggies getting ready to leap. (Noah adamantly refused to join in, of course.)

So, what did you do with your "extra" twenty-four hours? ;)

Very cool, Amanda! Looks like you had a nice sunny day. We, on the other hand, had 6" of new snow. Ugh! I'm ready for winter to be over!
