HELLO

Hi. I'm Amanda...a happy wife and mom to three awesome guys. We've lived here in Fort Collins for more than 20 years and are proud to call it home. Before moving to CO, I worked at a city attorney's office, making use of my law and Master's degrees from Duke. After settling in Fort Collins, I homeschooled my three (now teenage and older) sons and was delighted to experience music classes, soccer, karate, swim team, archery, Science Olympiad, First Lego League, parkour, and climbing (not all at the same time!). From 2005-10, I was also a contributing editor for a national scrapbooking magazine, authoring a book and a couple of monthly columns. From 2009-10, I founded and ran the Good Grief Blog. I enjoy learning new things, spending time with my family, volunteering with The Matthews House, traveling and indoor rock climbing.

Also...

Just wanted also to say thanks for all the thoughts in response to my post last week! I truly appreciate all of the comments!! (and am hoping to work through the book ideas over the summer!)

And, completely randomly, can anyone tell me why they don't make dividers for minivans? (You know, like the ones in limos and some taxis and such that divide the front seat from the passengers.) Let's think about it for a minute, eh? Not saying that I don't get a kick out of listening to some of the odd conversations the boys have or their unharmonious songs but methinks the option of raising a divider in minivans would be a huge selling point... ;)

Heck yeah! I'd definitely add that to my minivan! I think you better work on designing that and getting it marketed. You'd be rich! ;)

Oh, I like that idea.

Love the idea of the divider in the van. Definately a marketable idea. I'd buy one.

Hi-- I have another question ---- how much planning did you do ro do you do for this project --- did you brainstorm a bunch then choose one per week? Do you sketch them out then create or just have at it? I love how you combine the clean lines of using a computer with traditional scrapping. I am looking to do a project about me and just wondered how you tackle it.

Hmmmm... maybe last question did not post -- if this is a repeat, I apologize --- what is the font that you used for the boy's names and subjects on the page "be smart"?
