HELLO

Hi. I'm Amanda...a happy wife and mom to three awesome guys. We've lived here in Fort Collins for more than 20 years and are proud to call it home. Before moving to CO, I worked at a city attorney's office, making use of my law and Master's degrees from Duke. After settling in Fort Collins, I homeschooled my three (now teenage and older) sons and was delighted to experience music classes, soccer, karate, swim team, archery, Science Olympiad, First Lego League, parkour, and climbing (not all at the same time!). From 2005-10, I was also a contributing editor for a national scrapbooking magazine, authoring a book and a couple of monthly columns. From 2009-10, I founded and ran the Good Grief Blog. I enjoy learning new things, spending time with my family, volunteering with The Matthews House, traveling and indoor rock climbing.

Happy NSD!

Yup, today's National Scrapbooking Day!! Hooray! Course, I'll be spending it at two soccer games and an extra soccer practice (and did I mention that it's drizzly right now and due to rain later?), plus getting groceries and other various errands to get ready for our company in the coming two weeks (Nathan's mom will be here tomorrow for a week and then his cousin will be staying with us the week after that...rather excited about both visits!).

So. Since I'm unlikely to get any scrappy time in today, here's hoping that at least some of you do! :) And, because I recently did some more purging, I'll do a little giveaway of miscellaneous supplies (some older, some newer, but all fun...sorry I don't have a picture but, to be honest, I haven't decided what all will go in the box just yet, lol).

Just post here and I'll pick a winner around midnight. Oh, and if you happen to be feeling generous and happen to know of any digital templates for 8x10 sports sheets (with a larger team photo and a smaller individual photo that aren't the ugly standard ones you can get at the photo processing places), please let me know. :) Thanks!

Unfortunately, I don't know where to find the sort of digital template you are looking for but I am going to go ahead and post here anyway as I like scrapbooking supplies a great deal!

I hope you enjoy the games and I hope it is nicer out there in Colorado than it has been lately! LOL! Have a wonderful NSD!

I would search for Soccer Digital Elements (free or for sale) and just create your own template! I did a couple yearbook pages for work (school) and making a template made it so much easier ...Hope this helps! Happy NSD...

Happy NSD! We just got back from soccer, and now I have to head off to work so there will be no scrapping for me today either! I plan on just imagining that I'm scrapping while I'm at work today.

Happy NSD!!!!!!! I hope it's a good one even though it's rainy & not too scrappy! I'm actually scrapping today---doing gift LOs for teacher appreciation day! Just the motivation I need after the last 2 weeks....

Thanks for the chance! (I don't know anything about digi, so I'm no help!)

Well, I'm not sure if I'm going to get the chance to scrapbook today either. I did make it to lunch and a scrapbook store with some friends though!

I didn't even realize it was NSD. That shows you how long it's been since I've scrapped. Maybe some new supplies could get me going! :)

My first time visiting your blog...I love your header. I'm trying to be creative and work on mine but there is so much about html I just don't know. :) Thanks for the giveaway.

I know how that kids stuff is. Right now we are crazy with baseball!

We had 2 soccer games today, too. No rain just fun. I'm hoping to scrap tonight after the kids get in bed. Hoping!

Happy NSD...It has been so much fun for me to participate during NSD!

I have been doing errands and housework today, so I feel your pain of not being able to scrap on NSD. Hopefully tomorrow I will get to scrap a little.

Hi Amanda,
Hope you stay reasonably dry today. I don't know of any cool templates but I bet if you post over at 2Peas on the General Photography board the ladies there will have some great ones.
