THE NITTY GRITTY

HELLO

Hi. I'm Amanda...a happy wife and mom to three awesome guys. We've lived here in Fort Collins for more than 20 years and are proud to call it home. Before moving to CO, I worked at a city attorney's office, making use of my law and Master's degrees from Duke. After settling in Fort Collins, I homeschooled my three (now teenage and older) sons and was delighted to experience music classes, soccer, karate, swim team, archery, Science Olympiad, First Lego League, parkour, and climbing (not all at the same time!). From 2005-10, I was also a contributing editor for a national scrapbooking magazine, authoring a book and a couple of monthly columns. From 2009-10, I founded and ran the Good Grief Blog. I enjoy learning new things, spending time with my family, volunteering with The Matthews House, traveling and indoor rock climbing.

Album in a Year?

So. Have you been keeping up with your Album in a Year? I fell behind a wee bit but am back on track now. Without further ado, here is my layout for April:

So...have you used any of the ideas, title blocks, or sketches for your own layouts? I'd love to see what you've been doing! Note: obviously this stuff was designed with the Album in a Year in mind, but I know some people have been using parts for projects all their own that have nothing to do with months in review...I'd love to see that as well! Link me to your layouts either in the comments here or shoot me an email (use the contact me thingie over on the left). For each layout you share, I'll enter your name in a drawing for a little bundle of goodies. I'll do the drawing next Monday (June 16) at midnight(ish).

Hi Amanda, I love your Album in a Year column and have been following it every month. I just e-mailed you my layout from Jan. to Apr. '08. I'm currently working on my May'08.
