HELLO

Hi. I'm Amanda...a happy wife and mom to three awesome guys. We've lived here in Fort Collins for more than 20 years and are proud to call it home. Before moving to CO, I worked at a city attorney's office, making use of my law and Master's degrees from Duke. After settling in Fort Collins, I homeschooled my three (now teenage and older) sons and was delighted to experience music classes, soccer, karate, swim team, archery, Science Olympiad, First Lego League, parkour, and climbing (not all at the same time!). From 2005-10, I was also a contributing editor for a national scrapbooking magazine, authoring a book and a couple of monthly columns. From 2009-10, I founded and ran the Good Grief Blog. I enjoy learning new things, spending time with my family, volunteering with The Matthews House, traveling and indoor rock climbing.

Announcements.

Sorry. Been MIA again. ;) Nathan's mom was visiting this past week and we had a great time...away from the computer. :) I'll sort through some pictures and post before long, but not right now. Right now I just wanted to pass along a few announcements:

1. CK is having a sweepstakes where you could win a NIKON digital camera...a cool one! So, pop on over and enter!! What are you waiting for?! Totally a piece of cake to enter and what a sweet potential up-side. (Course, I'm a little partial to Canon, myself, but who would pass up a FREE camera, eh?)

2. Prism Papers is having a card contest! You've still got plenty of time, so get creating! Here's the info. Personally, I've been making more cards lately and can definitely see how this could become addicting. :)

3. In case you haven't seen it, Lisa Bearnson has a new book out called "50 Moments: Scrapbook the pages that Matter Most" and it's pretty dang cool. I happen to have five layouts or so included and am loving some of the page ideas in there!! Definitely inspiring.

Okay. That was it for now. I promise I'll be back with more later this week...just now, though, I need to sort some laundry and continue "catching up" from our past week or so. :) Happy Tuesday to you!!
