HELLO

Hi. I'm Amanda...a happy wife and mom to three awesome guys. We've lived here in Fort Collins for more than 20 years and are proud to call it home. Before moving to CO, I worked at a city attorney's office, making use of my law and Master's degrees from Duke. After settling in Fort Collins, I homeschooled my three (now teenage and older) sons and was delighted to experience music classes, soccer, karate, swim team, archery, Science Olympiad, First Lego League, parkour, and climbing (not all at the same time!). From 2005-10, I was also a contributing editor for a national scrapbooking magazine, authoring a book and a couple of monthly columns. From 2009-10, I founded and ran the Good Grief Blog. I enjoy learning new things, spending time with my family, volunteering with The Matthews House, traveling and indoor rock climbing.

Four on Friday

1. We joined the multitudes awhile back and purchased the Exploding Kittens Kickstarter game. We received it recently and have played it a few times. Oh my goodness. The creators are crazy! ;) (For what it's worth, it's been pretty fun and totally amusing!)

2. Who knew that there is an Asher's Brewing Company in Boulder? I didn't. After seeing some of their pint glasses when I was out with boys and nieces and nephew, though, I discovered this and have since purchased a couple of the pint glasses for our own collection. ;) Asher thinks this is dandy, as we've never found any "personalized" items with his name, lol.

3. Earlier this week (and I debated about sharing this, lol), Asher began his day by walking past Nathan and greeting him with, "That shirt makes your butt look good." We're unsure what to make of that. ;)

4. Speaking of shirts, though, this is the shirt Nathan's wearing today after the completion of his first full week of boot camp:

Hee hee. I bought it for him. I'm sweet like that. ;)
