HELLO

Hi. I'm Amanda...a happy wife and mom to three awesome guys. We've lived here in Fort Collins for more than 20 years and are proud to call it home. Before moving to CO, I worked at a city attorney's office, making use of my law and Master's degrees from Duke. After settling in Fort Collins, I homeschooled my three (now teenage and older) sons and was delighted to experience music classes, soccer, karate, swim team, archery, Science Olympiad, First Lego League, parkour, and climbing (not all at the same time!). From 2005-10, I was also a contributing editor for a national scrapbooking magazine, authoring a book and a couple of monthly columns. From 2009-10, I founded and ran the Good Grief Blog. I enjoy learning new things, spending time with my family, volunteering with The Matthews House, traveling and indoor rock climbing.

07.08.09

Well, I missed out on my first opportunity to capture 07.08.09 at 10:11:12 today but will try for tonight. Love this idea!

In the meantime, catching up seems to be my theme for the week. Not only am I finally starting to feel better (was sick, don't know if I mentioned that, lol) but I managed to catch up both my 2009 Weekly album and my Lists of Me album! I seem to end up doing about a month at a time for both...will have to remember that for next year. :) In any case, here are my Lists...first, the one from the week of my birthday:

After that, I went with silly:

Then back to serious with a list on Father's Day of things I wish my dad could do with my boys:

Switched gears again to be happy about homeschooling:

And then one just because:

There ya go. :) And, hey, inspired by my new good pal, Kelli Crowe (scroll down a bit), who was inspired by me, I'm planning to start this whole list project with my boys for the next school year...a weekly list as a snapshot of their lives and (sneakily) some handwriting practice. ;) I love finding other scrappers who also homeschool. We should form a club. :)

In any case, I continue to love my own lists and now am excited about starting some for my boys. Kelli's got a great list going on over at her blog. If you have any more ideas, I'd LOVE to hear 'em!

Love reading yours and Kelli C's blogs. I homeschool and scrap as well so I always find some inspiration from your blogs.

Great ideas--I might have to add making list pages to my list of pages to do :)
