HELLO

Hi. I'm Amanda...a happy wife and mom to three awesome guys. We've lived here in Fort Collins for more than 20 years and are proud to call it home. Before moving to CO, I worked at a city attorney's office, making use of my law and Master's degrees from Duke. After settling in Fort Collins, I homeschooled my three (now teenage and older) sons and was delighted to experience music classes, soccer, karate, swim team, archery, Science Olympiad, First Lego League, parkour, and climbing (not all at the same time!). From 2005-10, I was also a contributing editor for a national scrapbooking magazine, authoring a book and a couple of monthly columns. From 2009-10, I founded and ran the Good Grief Blog. I enjoy learning new things, spending time with my family, volunteering with The Matthews House, traveling and indoor rock climbing.

A very lego Christmas...

Just FYI. 3427 new lego pieces in the house right now. Really. (No, I did not count each one...I just added the numbers on the 23 new lego sets the boys have so far...I say "so far" because we're not done completely yet.) Oy.

How's your Christmas going? ;)

That sounds just like my house! Only our total pieces was slightly more than that, yes I too counted from the box, only is was in only 7 sets - these creations are huge! But what a great toy, right? Hope your boys keep the Lego love like mine have - so great for their young minds! Happy LEGO Christmas to you!

Wow, that's a lot of legos. Hubby and I were just talking about how there were very few legos given this year.

I should not have read your post to Rich. His response? "We ought to match her!" Thankfully on a preliminary survey of the few boxes still readily accessible, he's already counted over 1200, not counting the new train set that came out as we set up the Christmas tree. I'll be back with a precise count later.
